I shot this for the talented people at Design&Rhetoric. We were on the roof of Bridges on the Park at Lamar and Riverside, looking north up Lamar across Lady Bird Lake Town Lake the Colorado River. Remember when the Cedar Door was right there on the other side of the footbridge? What a great spot. I’m sure something cool will be built there, and whatever it is, it’s underway. So remember this view, because it won’t look like this for long.

December 24, 2007Be on the lookout for this, due out Feb 2008. Texas Monthly, Jason Stone (author of The Texas Golf Bible) and I have teamed up with Texas Economic Development & Tourism to produce this. Stone wrote it, I shot the pics, Leslie Williams designed it, and Missy Colbert made sure we all did what we promised to do. Having tried publishing things before, I’m relieved to be working with someone who knows what they’re doing.

December 6, 2007HDR Photography
December 6, 2007HDR is really taking off, and I’m seeing lots of the same thing out there. It’s a great tool for those who consider themselves artists. For me, it’s a business tool. It allows me to capture a scene for a client with no violation of the environment. I’m not referring to the environment of which the dirtball politicians speak. Beyond sunsets, HDR is absolutely necessary for accurate display of texture.
