The University of Texas Golf Club

utgcmay2009I’ve been out at UT Golf Club shooting their ‘Texas Legends” Invitational.  The golf course really looks good, but it’s the club that impresses me every time I go out there.  Those guys know what a club is supposed to be.  The thought and effort that goes into their events is the best I’ve ever seen.  Anywhere.

  1. Any photos or articles on “holes-in-one” from tournament of May 7 & 8, 2009? Many thanks for any help you can give.

  2. Not sure if I would’ve had the composure to capture the second one, had I been there. I was probably in the 3rd fairway when that happened on #2. It was a silent miracle, too, since no one saw them go in. What an unbelievable occurrence. For those who don’t know: The Texas Legends is UT Golf Club’s Member/Guest, and a member and his guest both made holes-in-one on the par 3 second hole, back to back, plunk, plunk. The hole was cut back left over a swale, so no one saw them go in. They got up to the green and saw no golf balls. After looking in bunkers and around the green, one of them said what we’ve all said, half-jokingly, “Did you look in the hole?” Yep, there they were. Two balls, six inches down. Wow.
